Hope for American Salmo Salar

Maine’s Atlantic salmon recovery has had many setbacks in the last few decades. But there is a new hope and optimism from last year’s adult salmon returns to the Penobscot River and other coastal rivers- the best yet since 2011. These fish are endangered and as these numbers trickle in there is strong hope for their glorious return to Maine’s once proud Salmo salar legacy.
